The Right Web Design
So what is web design? It's the ability to show the consumer relevent information in hyper text mark up language, and relay it through the world wide web.
Before you think about having a website and what colour etc it will be you first need to think about what you want to accomplish with your website. Factors such as the purpose of the website must be put into consideration. Different business and people what different feature on each of there websites. Some of the major purposes of a web site design might be that it will be developed for information purposes including news updated, information boardcasts or news and other topics, learning materials etc etc. Another Major and if not one of the largest uses for a website is the ability to communicate. This entails typing letters and sharing media messages, whether formal or informal, and using the web to send it to a recipient. The design should be user friendly.
The Next most important factor of creating a website is that you have the ability to target the exact person you want. This is primarily determined by the purpose of the website that is being designed. Think about all the website you sites and why you visit them and what you get from them and when you go to create your site think about what your customer wants and how you will give it to them. If you where to give an example, say you wanted to learn piano then when you wanted to learn piano you type "play piano" into the search you would want a piano teaching site to come up. Likewise, a journalist will log on to a website that will provide information or gossip about a particular subject.
A web designer should have in mind how their information or media gets to the target audience or market. If your building a website that needs to be targeted around say mothers that are looking to work from home then, you would need to make sure the content and information is relvent to the mothers out there that don't have full time employment. For instance, a website designed to sell or buy property will consist of all the aspects of the particular property as would be found in a conventional catalogue, only that it is presented in electronic form specifically meant to take advantage of the capabilities of the internet.
Web design incorporates the "speeds" at which the information may be accessed. Reconizing that different users will have different speed internet connections. This speed determines how "fast or slow" the material may be made available to the visitor. This too depends on the design and the kind of material found on the website. It is imperative that the designer builds a website that loads material quickly to the user. In most cases, clients accessing the web from home make use of "low speed" modems therefore the material put on such websites needs to be "light" so as to load fast to enable proper communication.
Successful websites are design in a manner that allow for user safisfaction. A simple navigation and quick loading pages will get your site a high user staisfation. Typed texts need to be consistent with size and colors. Depending on your market you might need long or short paragraph. Having a contact page for users to contact you about any concern is a must when designing a website.
